Annual Rummage Sale & Halifax River Cleanup

Thanks to everyone who spent hours dropping off, sorting, and marking items for our Annual Rummage Sale!  There was a whole bunch of good stuff and the place looked like a store Saturday morning by the time we opened the doors up to the public. 

We had such a great assortment of items, we couldn't resist buying a few ourselves.  The Chaplain and his bride attempted to sell that couch, showing just how comfortable it was... hopefully it found a good home. By the end of the day we were GIVING stuff away by the bag.  We collected $1575.00, not bad at all!

While some of us worked the sale, others met with the County volunteers for the Halifax/Indian River Cleanup.  The men cleaned up along the water line, and the women came along behind them and picked up everything they missed!  Great job gang!  In case you missed it, here we are fighting over the free River Cleanup shirts... notice the hats everyone is wearing? I see Mary, but where oh where is Charlie Blake???  He showed up late and missed out on the free hat.  Wah wah wah... he cried so loud even the President of the United States heard him! He sent a special hat just to quiet Charlie down.  You are one lucky man, Charlie!
