In Loving Memory Of

MARTIN "ROY" WILLIAMSON Jr.
April 10th,
1915 ~ February 28th, 2011

Martin
'Roy' Williamson, Jr. passed away peacefully at his home in Port
Orange with his wife by his side on February 28, 2011 at the age
of 95. A Graveside Service in Roy's honor was on Thursday, March
3, 2011 at Daytona Memorial Park in Daytona Beach, FL. Roy
was born in Montgomery, AL on April 10, 1915, son to the late
Martin Roy Williamson, Sr. and Nellie (Gallaspie) Williamson.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 33 years, Trudy
(Gertrude Jackson) Williamson; his sons, Bill Williamson (Linda)
of Casselberry, FL; Bob Williamson (Monica) of Chuluota, FL; and
Michael Williamson of Casselberry, FL; his grandchildren, Matt,
Brianna, Mike, Lindsey and Jay; his close cousin, Laura DeLong
and her family; his niece, Louise Wallace & her family; his
sister-in-law, Lin Williamson Clark of Stuart, FL; and he is
predeceased by his brother, Bill Williamson. Roy was raised in
Florida and attended Plant City H.S. in Tampa, FL and was an
Eagle Scout. As a young boy, Roy and his friend built a sail
boat and sailed from St. Pete to Cuba in a Regatta. He graduated
from the University of Florida earning a B.A. degree in Business
in 1938. While in college he was Captain of the Golf Team and a
member of the ROTC program, involved in the ATO fraternity, and
he was also a Junior State Golf Champion. He was also a member
of the Rotary & Kiwana's Clubs. After college, he began working
for Met-Life, however was soon drafted serving in World War II,
landing in Omaha Beach, then fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
He was with the 283rd Field Artillery Battalion as Captain of
Battery "C" and Division Artillery Supply Officer and commanded
firing battery for the Army. He was awarded the
Purple
Heart and Bronze Star for his extraordinary service to our U.S.
Military. After serving our country, Roy resumed his career with
Met-Life and traveled to New York working with various agents
and gained leadership skills. He returned to Florida as District
Sales Manager and retired in Winter Park, FL. After retirement,
Roy continued his love for golf and boating. He served as
Commodore
twice for the Daytona Beach Boat Club and also was a member of
the Halifax Cruise Club. He was also involved in the American
Legion and was an active member of the United Community
Methodist Church in Daytona Beach. Roy celebrated his life with
many close friends and family and will be treasured and missed
by many. Special thanks to Hospice of Volusia Flagler,
especially Nadia Beverly, Lynn and Mark Spivey. Special

Keith L. Traudt
September 13th, 1939 ~ October
1st, 2009
After a valiant battle with Leukemia, our friend Keith
L. Traudt passed away the morning of October
1st, 2009.
Keith was born in Norwood, MA.
He was a draftsman for Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, Washington.
He owned
"Tire Service", a Goodrich service center in New Bedford, MA and
was also a realtor in that area. After moving to Florida
in 1984, Keith worked in banking and was a real estate broker
and a mortgage broker. He decided to work for himself so
he could have control and run an honest business; and so he founded The Mortgage Center in
Ormond Beach.
Keith married the love of his life, Linda
Pinard on September 11, 1977 and they had 32 happy years
together.
He
was an enthusiastic member of the Daytona Beach
Boat Club for over 20 years, serving as Cruise Master as well as
many DBBC Committees during his years as a member.
He is survived by his
loving wife, Linda; as well as his mother,
Virginia M. Traudt; brothers, Gerald, Richard, Robert, and
Stephen; sister, Marion Slater (Fred); sons, Michael and Bruce;
daughters, Laurel Traudt and Lynn Roy (Steve). He was also a
wonderful father to Richard and Charles Lomba (Jean) and Michael
Pinard (Sharon). He has 12 grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild; as well as many nieces and nephews. Keith was
known by friends to be loyal, enthusiastic and always kind. He
saw the good side of everything. He was a loving husband,
father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. His
warm smile will be missed by all who knew him!
We will have the opportunity to celebrate
Keith's life each year as we plan our newly named trip,
"Keith Traudt Memorial Cruise to Kennedy Point".
Pete Harris
October 26th, 1922 ~ December
19th, 2007
Pete
was born in Tuxedo Park, New York. He graduated from the
University of Maine in 1950 after serving in the U.S. Coast
Guard for five years. He married Ethel (Sue) Sausser on
April 10, 1948. They would have been married 60 years
April 10, 2008.
Pete worked for General Electric, owned the
South Peninsula Marina and also was manager of Mother T's
business. He was a long time member of the Daytona Beach
Boat Club and organizer of the Ormond Beach Anchor Chasers (an
early scuba diving club). Pete created the "President
Abram W. Harris" award at the University of Maine, and has many
friends in the University community.
Pete is survived by his lovely bride Sue, two
wonderful sons in Ormond Beach, Robert B. Harris (TT Best) and
Steve A. "Andy" Harris (Gloria); seven grandchildren; a step
great grandson; a sister Virginia Ashlock, and step brother
Robert Hamlin.
Pete was a very loving husband, father,
grandfather and friend to all who knew him. We will have
the opportunity to celebrate Pete's life each year as we plan
our newly named trip, "Pete Harris Memorial Picnic at Bing's
Landing".
