In Loving Memory Of...
Keith L. Traudt
September 13th, 1939 ~ October
1st, 2009
After a valiant battle with Leukemia, our friend Keith
L. Traudt passed away the morning of October
1st, 2009.
Keith was born in Norwood, MA.
He was a draftsman for Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, Washington.
He owned
"Tire Service", a Goodrich service center in New Bedford, MA and
was also a realtor in that area. After moving to Florida
in 1984, Keith worked in banking and was a real estate broker
and a mortgage broker. He decided to work for himself so
he could have control and run an honest business; and so he founded The Mortgage Center in
Ormond Beach.
Keith married the love of his life, Linda
Pinard on September 11, 1977 and they had 32 happy years
together.
He
was an enthusiastic member of the Daytona Beach
Boat Club for over 20 years, serving as Cruise Master as well as
many DBBC Committees during his years as a member.
He is survived by his
loving wife, Linda; as well as his mother,
Virginia M. Traudt; brothers, Gerald, Richard, Robert, and
Stephen; sister, Marion Slater (Fred); sons, Michael and Bruce;
daughters, Laurel Traudt and Lynn Roy (Steve). He was also a
wonderful father to Richard and Charles Lomba (Jean) and Michael
Pinard (Sharon). He has 12 grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild; as well as many nieces and nephews. Keith was
known by friends to be loyal, enthusiastic and always kind. He
saw the good side of everything. He was a loving husband,
father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. His
warm smile will be missed by all who knew him!
We will have the opportunity to celebrate
Keith's life each year as we plan our newly named trip,
"Keith Traudt Memorial Cruise to Kennedy Point".
Pete Harris
October 26th, 1922 ~ December
19th, 2007
Pete
was born in Tuxedo Park, New York. He graduated from the
University of Maine in 1950 after serving in the U.S. Coast
Guard for five years. He married Ethel (Sue) Sausser on
April 10, 1948. They would have been married 60 years
April 10, 2008.
Pete worked for General Electric, owned the
South Peninsula Marina and also was manager of Mother T's
business. He was a long time member of the Daytona Beach
Boat Club and organizer of the Ormond Beach Anchor Chasers (an
early scuba diving club). Pete created the "President
Abram W. Harris" award at the University of Maine, and has many
friends in the University community.
Pete is survived by his lovely bride Sue, two
wonderful sons in Ormond Beach, Robert B. Harris (TT Best) and
Steve A. "Andy" Harris (Gloria); seven grandchildren; a step
great grandson; a sister Virginia Ashlock, and step brother
Robert Hamlin.
Pete was a very loving husband, father,
grandfather and friend to all who knew him. We will have
the opportunity to celebrate Pete's life each year as we plan
our newly named trip, "Pete Harris Memorial Picnic at Bing's
Landing".
