The Traveling Manatee
2011

Well
everyone, we have to apologize to you, the
traveling manatee
is missing from it's last location
(which was behind the pulpit in our church) We went to
get her last Sunday to see where she would like to go
next and she was gone. It is quite possible that one of
the residents that live at the retirement facility where
we hold church "borrowed" her. We will do
our best to
try to find her, but our fear is she may have found a
permanent home living in the bathtub of some sweet, old
lady.
We will keep you posted as news arrives.
p.s. Mr. & Mrs. Doug Willis previously had her for
something like a YEAR.... FYI, she likes to travel
around more frequently. If you receive her, please
be sure to send her out into the world prior to the next
Boat Club meeting.
In a COMPLETELY unrelated case, David Riban said when he came home
last Thursday night around
7pm, an elderly neighbor told him there were several
Sherriff vehicles surrounding his house earlier that day
with "Police Line" tape
strung around the trees and driveway and that they
packed-up and left around 6pm. She thought someone had
died in the house, but David assured her 'no one was
home.'
David took Friday off from work to try to find out
what happened. He spent the morning on the phone with
the Sheriff's office. They initially said there was no
report from that area, but after some more prodding
he was eventually connected to a 'Sergeant' (Bob?)
Green. He said that they did respond to a complaint of a
suspicious package in David's driveway, that they had
cleared the scene. This kinda worried him, but the Sgt.
said not to be alarmed. (??) He said it was not a valid
threat, but was reported to their "Homeland Security"
system anyway.
For some reason David thinks this is a coincidence to
the email I sent regarding our missing manatee. WHY, I have no clue! I
told David it is probably a disgruntled patient who was
denied a prescription by one of them and this was a
maneuver to scare them. I also mentioned how easy it was
(or so I've heard) to find his house on Google Maps. Hmmmm.
Stay tuned! |
